Coming Features and Recent Changes

This is a list of things to come and updates on things recently completed. These items probably are not documented anywhere else. Once I have time to create documentation, I will move them out of this list.

  • DONE - 12/14/2006 -  Email It - opens email form with doc ID.
    • Title converts to subj line
    • Need email of sender, receiver, name of sender, use robot protection.
  • DONE - 12/15/2006 - Digg It
    • Submit to Digg.com
  • Blog It
    • Create html to add to your blog
  • DONE - 12/17/2006 - RSS Feed
  • ATOM Feed
  • Friends - Invite friends, allow friends to see the content of your site that is not public. A friend should be assigned a root. She can see everything below the root. She can only see public pages above her root.
  • DONE - 12/20/2006 - Private documents should be shown in your menu if you are logged inas the site admin. Seems obvious that you will want to see these docuemnts. Other users can't see them.
  • DONE - 12/30/2006 - Rework (clean-up) the page structure.
    **We wanted to go with a Pure CSS layout however with the CSS problems with columns and the fact that users will have varying column widths, we decided to use 1 table (as minimal as possible) in the page layout.
  • DONE - 01/07/2007 Pure CSS - No tables - The page layout for HeadTreez.com has been modified to get rid of all tables. Our output now validates (see home page for validation details). We won't stop you from using invalid HTML and CSS, but isn't it good to know we're doing our part to keep it clean?
  • Done - 1/07/2006 - Changed text/html editor. We've changed the text editor, so all our tutorial pages currently show the old editor instead of the new (and really sweet) text editor. This includes a new image gallery, with the ability to also insert Flash, Media, and other document types. Its really a great addtion
  • Done - 1/13/07 - Keywords and descriptions added at the site levl and at the page level. If you don't specify keywords and descriptions at the page level, the html headers will have the site description and site keywords.
  • Done - 1/13/07 - Profile editor updated to Cute Editor. This was missed when all other editor screens were updated.
  • Done - 1/18/07 - Voting for page/site popularity has been added. We'll be adding a 'Most Popular' section soon.
  • Done - 2/??/07 - Removed voting temporarily will add it back after some bugs are worked out.
  • Done - 2/??/07 - Major changes to the Dashboard area so the tutorials need to be synched up with the new Dashboard. Moving documents is now done by Drag/Drop which is pretty neat. New text editor provides better control over the HTML output, although it contains a ton of scripts that cause it load slower than we'd like, but the quality of output is so much better that we're going to stick with it.

    Several new sample sites have been created to help show how versatile HeadTreez can be for setting up your own unique look and feel. You can find links to these on the HeadTreez.com home page.
  • Done - 3/13/2007 - Persite searches are now possible.
  • Done - 3/22/2007 - Minor changes on Search page to prepare for Searches initiated from any page. Nothing visible, other than changed the button positions, but code changes are in place waiting on the next step
  • Todo - 3/22/2007- Setup search box on all pages so that you can start your search from any page without having to go to the search page first.
